après plus de 2 ans de préparation, aujourd'hui, vendredi 29 mai 2009, ce blog signale & archive les conditions de l'existence de generic comme idée tangible (aspirant à la dignité du concept) et de l'e.space generic comme lieu sensible...

vers un manifeste generic:

generic s'intéresse à et questionne l'image (animée et fixe) comme dévoilement et masque (imago), comme cause et effet du spec(ta)ulaire,

à la profondeur/surface et à la texture/haptique du (de l’ordre) symbolique,

à l'inframince et à l'archéologie du vide/saturé du quotidien,

à l'indécidable entre le "voir" et le "regarder", “the gaze”,

aux creux du language et aux discours de la parole,

à l'impossible neutralité des signes et à l'opacité mémorielle,

à l'aporie de l'injonction au jouir/visible et à la tension du désir/invisible,

à la différ(r)ance" et à la répétition,

à l'autre du même,

à l'image comme manœuvre d'évitement et comme simulacre d'un réel irreprésentable et inacceptable,

à la nuit...

gratitude profonde pour cette rencontre en mai 2009 avec Odile Ouizeman facilitée par Axelle Blanc qui sait ce que je/nous lui devons...

enfin, Jepial, créateur en résidence generic, parle souvent du "temps qu'il reste à vivre", "amor fati", donc, puisque l'art insiste: "memento mori"...

after 2 years in preparation, today the 29th of may 2009, this blog signals and archives generic’s conditions of existence as a tangible idea (aspiring to the dignity of the concept) and the generic e.space as a sensitive locus...

towards a generic manifesto:

generic is interested by and questions the picture/image (moving or still) as unveiling/sealing and as masking (imago), as cause and effect of the spec(ta)ular,

by the depth/surface and the texture/haptic of the symbolic (order),

by the ‘ultrathin’ and the saturated void of the quotidian,

by the undecidability between ‘to see’ and ‘to watch’, the gaze,

by the gaps of language and the discourses of ‘speech’,

by the impossible neutrality of signs and memory’s processes opacity,

by the aporia of the injunction to enjoy/visible and the tension of desire/invisible,

by the ‘differ(r)ance’ and the repetition,

by the other of the self,

by the image as an evasive manœuvre and as simulacrum of an unrepresentable and inacceptable real (reel),

by the night...
