À l'origine, un conte est un récit raconté à l'oral. Depuis la Renaissance il fait l'objet de réécritures, devenant aussi au fil des siècles un genre écrit à part entière. Il y a donc deux pratiques du genre littéraire du conte : orale et écrite. Ces deux pratiques diffèrent dans leur fonctionnement (modes de création, de diffusion...) comme dans leur contenu, ce qui amène à les considérer de manière séparée.
Par ailleurs le terme de « conte » peut aussi désigner l'activité de conter, quel que soit le type d'histoires (épopée, légende, conte, histoire de vie, nouvelle…). Le conte est alors l'art du conteur. ...”

The Viral Venture projection consists of Nechvatals most recent artificial-life computer virus attacking his digital images. It acts in real time as modeled on the biological viral mode as programmed by Stephane Sikora in C++.
Rhys Chathams score consists of his 2005 composition for 400 electric guitars entitled A Crimson Grail, commissioned by Nuit Blanche. It was performed and recorded at the Sacré-Coeur Basilica in Paris. The score is looped so that the projection can run for an indefinite length of time without disruption." 29.09.09
